Mr. Nguyen Manh Hung and the representative of Japan  Sports Association

Study Tour Project for leaders of Asian Youth Sport is a government subsidized program founded in 1991. The Japan Amateur Sports Association contributes to sports promotion for young people through inviting leaders and coaches from ASEAN and East Asian nations who are helping to develop youth sports related associations offering programs for studying the situation of youth sports in Japan and the activities and organizations of Japan Junior Sports Clubs Association.

Coming to this Study Tour, Mr. Hung gave a speech about the present situation and problems of afterschool activities for elementary and junior high school students in Vietnam. He emphasized that afterschool activities provide schools with opportunities to prepare for performance events and prepare sporting teams for competitions. This is where students can learn without being constrained by the strict regulations of the schools, they are allowed to be creative, get challenges and the most important- be themselves. Therefore, each country should give attention to the afterschool activities in order to keep students safe as well as to promote students’ health for a better world, because children are the future of the world.

From October 26th to October 27th, there were many activities from Japan Sport Association such as visiting Sport Club Urawa Misono and Kumagaya Sport Park in URARA province, taking part in physical education exchanges in Ota White Shuttles and Myiashiro Kenyukai Teenager Sports Club in Hanyu City, Japan. In addition, there was a journey to the National Museum of Sport with the purpose of consulting the model and project for Olympic 202  held in Tokyo.

The research trip to Japan had finished successfully. Through this trip, the delegation had exchanged many experiences with the other participants from Asian countries on the development of sport and the Olympic movement in the region.
