As Vietnam has been taking steps to develop new sports, from 17th to 22nd March in Nha Trang, Khanh Hoa Province, Vietnam Olympic Committee (VOC) has collaborated with the Asian Footvolley Federation to organize the Footvolley Technical course.

Attending the course were 22 participants, working as coaches, managers of Sepak Takraw, Volleyball and Football sectioned from 5 provinces: Khanh Hoa, Ho Chi Minh City, Dong Nai, Binh Thuan and Ninh Thuan. Under the enthusiastic guidance of 3 experts from Thailand, Mr. Sirawich Sukpol; Mr. Winai Thonglai; Mr. Arunrot Leelert, the participants had a chance to obtain the basis of Footvolley and also the knowledge of tactics, rules and organizing methods. Footvolley moving, ball control, techniques and tactics in offense and defense of the game are also brought to the participants.
Althought this is the first time of footvolley in Vietnam, all 22 participants have taken the course with interest and joy. Pleased the experts. Mr. Sirawich Sukpol quoted: “I am very happy that even first time coming to Vietnam, we are welcomed with great hospitality. This course has been successful. With this first solid step, I hope Footvolley will become a popular sport in Vietnam and win a position at the International arena.”
Mr. Sukpol also guarantied the Asian Footvolley Federation’s support to Vietnam in the development of this sport with further technical course.
At the end of the course, 100% of participants were awarded the certification of the 2014 Footvolley Technical Course.
