Hanoian students join a painting contest in responding to the 17th Asian Games

Nearly 141 students from Hanoi’s Children Culture Palace competed in a painting contest in promoting the 17th Asian Games 2014 in Incheon, Korea.

The painting contest, which was organized by Olympic Council of Asia (OCA) and the organizing committee of the 17th ASIAD, was held for kids aged 11-15 years from 45 member countries that focused on themes: “My Asian Games, My Hope”; “Sport, Road of life”; and “Our Tradition and Culture”.

 

In Vietnam, the contest was collaborationally launched by the Vietnam Olympic Committee (VOC) and Hanoi’s Children Culture Palace from June 27 to July 20. The organizing committee was selecting the best of 141 paintings for the winner announcement on August 10th. VOC will give all candidates the painting certificate. The organising committee of the contest will also give awards to winner’s certificates, merit certificates and medal of honour. The winner will walk away with a cash prize of 3 million VND, while the runner-up pocket 2 million VND. Two third place prizes worth 1 million VND each and 11 encourage prizes.

 

VOC will send the best painting to Korea in a competition with other paintings from Asian countries. The  ASIAD organizing committee will invite the contest winner and escort man (or woman) to participate in all main events of the 17th Asian Games in Incheon from September 19 to October 4th./.
