On 06/06/2017, the Announcement Ceremony of Herbalife Nutrition as the Official Nutrition Partner for the Vietnam Sport Contingent competing at the 29th SEA Games and the 9th ASEAN Para Games was held at theVietnam Sport Administration Office, Hanoi. The sign off event extends the sporsorship agreement for the period 2017-2021 between the Vietnam Olympic Committee, the Vietnam Paralympic Assiciation and Herbalife Nutrition (specialising in providing nutritional products from natural herbal sources).

Mr Tran Van Manh,Secretary General of the Vietnam Olympic Committee, Mr Vu The Phiet, Vice President, Secretary General of the Vietnam Paralympic Association and Mr Pham Tuong Huy, General Director of Herbalife Vietnam signed the official partnership agreement for the period 2017-2021 with the witness of Mr Tran Duc Phan, Mr Pham Van Tuan (Deputy Chairmen of the Vietnam Sport Administration), Ms Shobie King, Vice President of Herbalife South East Asia, representatives of the Ministry of Culture, Sport and Tourism, the Vietnam Sport Administration, the Vietnam Olympic Committee and around 30 Vietnamese representative athletes competing at the 29th SEA Games and the 9th ASEAN Para Games.

This event is the next phase following the sign off of the Memorandum of Understanding between Herbalife and Vietnam Sport in April 2016. Apart from providing nutritional products and nutritional consultation to the Vietnam Sport Contingent, Herbalife will organise sport training in the United States for a number of Vietnamese athletes and coaches as well as provide prize awards (at competion venues) for 10 first Vietnamese athletes winning gold medals at the 29th SEA Games and 10 first Vietnamese athleteswinning gold medals at the 9th ASEAN Para Games.

After this biennial sport event, the 5 years partnership agreement reaffirms that Herbalife will remain the Official Nutrition Sponsor for Vietnamese athletes competing at the Asian Games and Asian Para Games in 2018, the SEA Games and ASEAN Para Games in 2019, the Summer Olympic and Paralympic in 2020 and the SEA Games and ASEAN Para Games in 2021 (hosted in Vietnam).

On behalf of Herbalife, Ms Shobie King expressed the enthusiasm and honour of Herbalife for continually collaborating with the Vietnam Olympic Committee and the Vietnam Paralympic Committee as the Official Nutrition Sponsor. Ms Shobie King states: “As the global nutrion group committing to provide the best nutritional products for athletes in the world, we believe that we can support Vietnam Sport with nutritional products and expertise, with our strong scientific foundation, for promoting the high achievements of Vietnamese athletes.”

After multiple breakthrough in 2016 with the climax being the first Olympic and Paralympic gold medals, the Vietnam Sport with the nutritional support of Herbalife hope to achieve new records at the regional Games held in August and September 2017./.
