At the beginning of the event, Mr Tran Van Manh said: “One of the deciding factors influencing the success of professional athletes is an efficient and reasonable diet. We hope that this activity promote strong awareness on the value and the role of nutrition in sport. Special attention has been given on supplementing nutritions for athletes having short period of time for preparing themselves for the 29th SEA Games in Malaysia.”
Mr Tran Van Manh also shared that the Vietnam Olympic Committee has signed the nutritional sponsorship for Vietnam Sports for the period of 2017-2021. Hence, Herbalife will continue the provision of nutritional products, the organisation of nutritional training courses for athletes participating in international competions (including the editions of SEA Games and ASEAN Para Games in 2017, 2019 and 2021; the Asian Games 2018 and the 2020 Tokyo Olympic Games).The long term and systematic partnarship throughout several major sport competitions and Games are integral parts of stable skills development for athletes in particular and the Vietnam Sport in general.
The training course, held by Herbalife Vietnam, received the generous support from the senior leaders of the Vietnam Sport Administration. Dr Dana Ryan directly explained diets at each stage, for each sport and for each athlete as well as provided the usage instructions of Herbalife products before, during and after training. The discussion was held in a lively atmosphere and received the special attention from athletes and coaches.
