In line with the 2017 Agenda of the Vietnam Olympic Committee, The Sport management course for sport managers and teachers was organised from 01 to 04 November 2017 by the Vietnam Olympic Committee, with the assistance of the Olympic Solidarity (OS) and the cooperation of the Department of Culture, Sport and Tourism of Gia Lai province, the Gia Lai Junior College of Education and the National Sport Training Center of Gia Lai province.
The Opening Ceremony of the course (on November 1) received the attendance of Mr. Lam Quang Thanh, Former Deputy Chairman of the Vietnam Sport Administration and Chairman of the Education Committee of the Vietnam Olympic Committee; Mr. Le Hong Phong, Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sport and Tourism of Gia Lai province; Mr. Nguyen Van Y, Director of the National Sport Training Center of Gia Lai province; and Mr Nguyen Van Lam, teachers at the Gia Lai Junior College of Education.
In the past years, with the help of the International Olympic Committee and International Federations, the organisation of the sport management courses sharpens the skills and experiences of sport managers in effectively organising sport events and managing sport organisations.
The course receives the participation of 74 people consisting of sport managers and teachers in Gia Lai province. The major contents of the course covers the following topics: Assessment of physical training in Gia Lai province; policies in administrating sports and physical training; Sports for all; Elite sport management; history and traditions of the Olympic Games; the Olympic values and Sport Ethics; International sport organisations; and the Olympic culture and education. At the end of the course, all participants will undertake practical examination and receive course completion certificates from the Olympic Solidarity.
