	Vietnam Posts and Telecommunications Group (VNPT) officially became the next diamond sponsors of the 31st Southeast Asian (SEA) Games after a signing ceremony in Hanoi on April 22.
Speaking at the signing ceremony, Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Hoang Dao Cuong, Standing Deputy Head of the organising committee of the 31st SEA Games, highly appreciated VNPT's important contributions in the field of technology to major sports events in Vietnam, especially the 31st SEA Games taking place in Hanoi and 11 neighbouring provinces and cities, in May. Deputy Minister Hoang Dao Cuong believes that VNPT will make the most of its capabilities, resources and experiences to ensure the completion of the set goals, as well as commitments with the organising committee, contributing to the overall success of the event. The organising committee also commits to actively coordinating with VNPT so that the sponsorship for the 31st SEA Games is implemented smoothly and effectively. VNPT Chairman To Dung Thai also shared that VNPT was honoured to be the only network operator accompanying the 31st SEA Games. As a leading information technology corporation, VNPT is well aware of its responsibilities to major events in the country. According to the cooperation content, VNPT will sponsor the 31st SEA Games with the following contents: Internet channels and monitoring operations at press and television centres, information technology centres, care centres, eSport centre and 37 competition points in 12 provinces and cities; deploying SMS communication about SEA Games 31 to Vietnamese people. VNPT will also put into operation the hotline number 18001031 completely free of charge to help answer information about the 31st SEA Games for people. At the same time, VNPT also implemented the international internet and information technology system at the Press Centre and the Television Centre of the event. In particular, the Group will also contribute equipment and have technical experts on duty to support data entry of competition results at the venues (on the organising committee's software) during the organisation of the 31st SEA Games. Immediately after the signing ceremony, the above sponsorship items were deployed by VNPT to be put into operation as soon as possible, according to the time committed to the 31st SEA Games organising committee. At the same time, VNPT also implemented many promotions for VinaPhone mobile data packages, MyTV TV service, and VNPT Wi-Fi so that fans can comfortably enjoy the top sports matches of the 31st SEA Games./.
