Implementing plan of the International Olympic Committee and the Olympic Council of Asia, on 18th  of June in Hanoi , Vietnam Olympic Committee in collaboration with the General Department of Physical Culture and Sports held the Children,s Olympic Day and  torch relay online responding to the 2nd Asia Youth Games, 2013 in Nanjing, China .

Implementing plan of the International Olympic Committee and the Olympic Council of Asia, on 18th  of June in Hanoi , Vietnam Olympic Committee in collaboration with the General Department of Physical Culture and Sports held the Children,s Olympic Day and  torch relay online responding to the 2nd Asia Youth Games, 2013 in Nanjing, China .

In his welcome speech,  the Deputy General of the Department of Physical Culture and Sport-  Vice President of Vietnam Olympic Committee Lam Quang Thanh stressed: Festival is held not only to welcome the Olympic Day ( 23th of June ) or to respond online torch ceremony of the 2nd Asia Youth Games but also to help children understanding  more about the sport and the Olympic movement in and abroad, through which to nurture sport- passion and  encourage them to participate in sport activities frequently.

According to the Cultural Counsellor of the Chinese Embassy to Vietnam - Tam Chan Luu , the torch relay held online is to implement principles of the 2nd Asian Youth Games - Nanjing, China, thas is " Everyone is able to participate in the torch relay." Virtual intervals of torch delay pass through 45 countries with 238 locations, starting from Seoul - South Korea and end on the Yangtze River Bridge - Nanjing - China.

Also on the Children,s Olympic Day, a large amount of pupils aged 5 - 18 were directly involved in the Olympic torch and flag relay ceremony, as well as in many physical and  intellectual plays to increase understanding of the Olympic values. Through this activities , you will be aware of the important role of sport and noble ideas of the Olympic movement, which encourages children to participate in activities and sports training frequently .

Talking about the torch relay online, Dr. Đam Quoc Chinh - Director of Sports Information Center under Department of Physical Culture and Sport said: The highlight of this work is that "everyone is able to participate in the torch relay”, including students , staff and people... This is a creative application of informatic technology with the widespread of information throughout. Participant is able to use tablet, PC, phones and mobile devices ... to participate in online torch relay .
