VIETNAM, Hanoi, June 6th, 2017 –Premier global nutrition company,Herbalife(NYSE: HLF), hasreaffirmed its long-standing commitment to Vietnam sports with the official signing of five-year nutrition sponsorship agreements with the Vietnam Olympic Committee (VOC) and Vietnam Paralympic Committee (VPC) today.The completion of the nutrition sponsorship agreementsahead of the 2017 Southeast Asian (SEA) Games and the 2017 ASEAN Para Games paves the way for Herbalife Nutrition to provide sports nutrition products, nutrition training, awards and incentives to support Vietnamese athletes bound for the two sporting events to be held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia this year.

The Olympic Marketing seminar was held in Dubai, United Arab Emirates from 21 to 25 May 2017. Delegates of 65 National Olympic Committees (NOCs) from the five continents along with the IOC Director of Marketing and Communication Services attended the seminar.

Preservation and promotion of the national cultural identity
Ethnic sport forms part of Vietnamese traditional culture and has a long history. It was formed along with nation’s development and reflects the unique traditional culture. According to Vietnamese Prime Minister, the strategy for sports and physical training development for <st1:place w:st="on">Vietnam until 2020 consists of “setting out some important tasks to develop models for building sport facilities; to organise sport activities in hamlets, villages and communes; and to prioritise the training of human resources for sport development in remote and ethnic minority regions. A number of folk games will be included to the national sport competion program and Vietnamese traditional martial arts will be preserved and developed.”
